Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has dismissed naysayers who predicted his arrest in the UK during Medikal’s concert.

Previously, popular Ghanaian socialite, Showboy, expressed concerns that Shatta Wale might face arrest as his associate, Mona4Reall, did before being extradited to the United States.

Detractors, suspecting Shatta Wale of engaging in fraudulent activities similar to those of his close friend, Mona4Reall, anticipated a comparable fate for him.

Rumors also circulated that the leader of the Shatta Movement had become a target for authorities in both countries, with claims that they were biding their time to apprehend him.

Yet, Shatta Wale, now back in Ghana, has openly criticized those who thought he would be detained in the UK.

Taking to social media, Shatta Wale posted: ‘The feeling when I enter Ghana Oh Shatta wale will be arrested in the Uk..Foolish ppl’.

LilWin goes after TGMA board for perpetual snubs

Kwadwo Nkansah ‘LilWin’ has said ‘I’m seen as a comedian so I am not taken seriously’ by the Ghana Music Awards board and organisers.

Additionally, ‘they assume I already have a reputable name and so there is no need to add to it,’ he said.

The actor, producer and music artiste spoke to Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM.

Noting that it is not so in America, he asserted he had ‘back-to-back hits’ with ‘all the stars’ and so ‘I should have long been nominated or won in categories like New Artiste of the Year and Discovery of the Year’.

‘I’m, however, not taken seriously, so I’m focused on doing what I can,’ he added.

On why he has not confronted the GMAs over the issue, he said: ‘The trophy comes with no money’ and his priority is to ‘get booked to perform at various shows’.

‘If the metal was added to some GHS50,000 or GHS100,000,’ he stressed he would take the snub seriously. ‘We’re moving forward and playing plenty of shows.’

‘Ghana has only five musicians who can rock a stage, and I am one of them,’ LilWin
asserted.

He said some musicians are uninteresting on stage ‘because they are often unserious,’ unlike him who is energised ‘when I see the crowd. I want to do something spectacular that will excite them and have them look forward to another of my performances’.

The Kumawood star conceded he first became known for his movies but ‘when I ventured into music, I took it seriously – God has blessed me’.

The Ghana Music Awards, in its 25th year, is headline-sponsored by Telecel Ghana, and organised by Charterhouse Ghana.

After breakup, they declare their so-called plans for you – Sister Derby talks about an ex

Sister Derby has expressed her observation on Snapchat regarding the tendency of ex-partners to profess unrealized plans post-breakup.

In a veiled message on Snapchat, the ‘Kakalika’ hitmaker lamented over an ex-partner spreading untruths about his genuine intentions for her.

‘After you break up with them and they say: I had plans for you,’ she wrote on Snapchat.

This revelation follows Sister Derby’s joint performance with her former boyfriend, Medikal, at his O2 Indigo concert in London.

Their onstage reunion fueled rumors of a rekindled romance.

This development occurred after Medikal declared his split from Fella Makafui and his newfound single status.

Sister Derby on her current relationship with Medikal:

Sister Derby clarified that her collaboration with Medikal was a gesture of support for a friend and ‘sweet ex’.

She emphasized that her relationship with Medikal is purely professional.

“My appearance wasn’t to cause anything. It was basically to support my friend, my sweet ex. I wanted to com
e and support. He also wanted me on the show, so he invited me. I didn’t have any problem with that because we have made music together, and he’s, my friend. It’s just business,” she said.
