Hearts of Oak: Samuel Boadu gets Bashir Hayford’s blessings ahead of Super Clash against Asante Kotoko

Veteran Ghanaian coach, Bashir Hayford has confirmed Samuel Boadu requested for his blessing ahead of the Super Clash on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak will host their bitterest rivals, Asante Kotoko in the matchday 31 games at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians recorded a 2-1 win over Legon Cities on Thursday night at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking to the press after the game, Bashir, who is the head coach of Legon Cities confirmed the Hearts of Oak gaffer came to him for his blessing ahead of the much-anticipated game.

“Hearts of Oak had their chances and they took it,” he said.

“We put them under pressure in the second half. Kudos to them, they managed the pressure well.

“I won’t take anything away from them.
“Samuel Boadu is my son. He came to me to bless him after the game.

“He said he always wants to be like me. I am impressed with what he has done at Hearts of Oak and for me, he deserves all the praise,” he added.

Both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko share 56 points after 30 matches played.
