Hasaacas Ladies star Evelyn Badu joins Norwegian side Avaldsnes IL until 2024

Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies star, Evelyn Badu has completed a move to Norwegian Toppserien side Avaldsnes IL.

The attacker signed a two-and-half-year contract to join Avaldsnes.

The 19-year-old rose to the limelight during the recently held maiden Caf Women’s Champions League in Egypt where she emerged the best player and top scorer of the competition.

“Evelyn is an offensively exciting player with good basic skills,” says head coach John Arne Riise, and continues “she has a good eye, is a facilitator, and will hopefully give us a lot of joy on the field.”

“But it is important to give her time for everything new she wants to experience here in Norway, not just a new country and new culture, but not least another football culture.

“Despite that, we are betting that Evelyn will be a good addition to our team in 2022,” Arne Riise added.

The deal was facilitated by fast-rising African digital scouting platform Digiscout Football in collaboration with UK outfit Sisu Sports Management.

Evelyn Badu, over the weekend, captained and scored the deciding goal as Ghana’s Black Princesses advanced to the penultimate round of the African qualifiers to the Costa Rica 2022 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup.
