Ghana FA set to activate provisions in Regulation to withdraw PHAR Rangers from all competition

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has acknowledged receipt of a letter from PHAR Rangers announcing their decision to withdraw from all competitions of the association.

The Division One League side on Monday, June 7, 2021, released a letter confirming that it is now defunct and hence will no longer be competing in neither the lower tier league nor the MTN FA Cup competition.

This afternoon, the country’s football governing body in a communique on its website has confirmed receipt of the letter from PHAR Rangers and says the appropriate provisions in the GFA Rules and Regulations will be activated immediately.

“The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has received a letter from Division One League side Phar Rangers FC announcing their decision to withdraw from all GFA Competitions with immediate effect,

“In the said letter, dated June 7, 2021, the Club stated that it should be considered as defunct henceforth.

“The GFA will accordingly activate the appropriate provisions in the GFA Rules & Regulations relating to the matter.

“Phar Rangers FC is currently placed 14th on the Division One League Zone Three league table,” the Ghana FA Communique reads.
