Asante Kotoko are criticized by UNPAID journalists – CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah slams critics

Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has taken a swipe at critics of the club, claiming journalists who criticize the club are unpaid.

The Ghana Premier League club have dominated the headlines for the wrong reasons following the defeat to their rivals, Hearts of Oak.

Nana Yaw Amponsah’s led administration has gone through lots of criticisms since taking the job.

But according to the 2019 Ghana Football Association [GFA] presidential candidate, those criticizing him and the club are media guys who astonishingly have also not received their monthly allowance for months.

“The only club that gets a lot of media bashes when owing players is Kotoko,” he told Happy FM.

“Ironically, most of these media guys haven’t been paid for months,” he added.

The Porcupine Warriors despite losing the league title to their bitterest rivals are still fighting to secure second place as they will welcome Elmina Sharks in Obuasi in their final league game of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.

Asante Kotoko will be hoping to win the MTN FA Cup. They will host Berekum Chelsea in the quarterfinal games.
