Angel Group of Companies support Ghana’s Deaf Rugby team

Accra,– Dr Kwaku Oteng, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Angel Group of Companies, has donated GH₵10,000 to the Ghana Deaf National Team.

The donation was to help the team as they prepare towards an international friendly with their Welsh counterparts ahead of the 2023 World Deaf Rugby Championship, which would take place in Argentina.

Dr Oteng lauded the hard work of persons living with disability and was elated to support their course.

“I feel touched any time I come across our brothers and sisters in the disability fraternity and especially Deaf people. I can confidently say that disabled people are hard-working when given the opportunity to work in a conducive atmosphere.

“I am happy to see a lot of persons with disabilities in sports and I think that is good for us as a country as far as inclusiveness is concerned,” he noted.

Dr Oteng further disclosed that his outfit has employed a vast number of persons living with disability demonstrating his love for them.

Mr Yaw Konadu, The President of the Ghana Deaf Rugby Union (GDRU) expressed gratitude to Dr Oteng for his kind gesture towards the team.

Mr Konadu was of the hope that the support would help build a strong relationship between the two bodies as the quest to thrive the sport in the country.

Among the delegation who called on Dr Oteng include Mr Owusu Ansah, Secretary of the National Sports Authority, Ashanti Region, Mr Wilson Agbesi, Secretary of GDRU, among other dignitaries.
