Akim Oda MP supports SDA with 100 bags of cement

Akim Oda (E/R)- The Member of Parliament (MP) for Akim Oda Constituency has given 100 bags of cement to the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church at Akim Oda Nkwantanum in support of a building project.

The support followed a promise made by the MP, Mr Alexander Akwasi Acquah, in 2020 to assist the church to complete a two-storey building to house worshippers.

Mr Acquah attributed the source of his contribution to God, saying, “One does not rely on his strength to assist others.”

Elder John Ansah, the first district Elder of Oda North SDA who received the cement bags, was grateful to the MP for the gesture and promised on behalf of the church that the items would be used for the intended purpose.

Elder Daniel Otu, Project Officer for Oda North District SDA, explained in details the building design, which comprised several offices, a mission house and a conference hall.

He said the full project would cost about GH¢ 5 million and appealed for external support to facilitate its completion.
