Ghana forward Mohammed Kudus is set to return to action for Ajax this weekend when the team takes on FC Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie.
The young sensation joined the Dutch giants from FC Nordsjaelland last summer. After an explosive start in the Eredivisie, he, unfortunately, picked up an injury while marking his debut in the Uefa Champions League in a match against Liverpool.
As a result, he has not quite managed to recover fully and has been out of the team despite making significant progress from that major injury setback.
This week, Mohammed Kudus has trained fully with his Ajax teammates and according to head coach Erik ten Hag, he could feature for the team even though he faces a late fitness test.
“As it looks now, we can include him [Mohammed Kudus] in the selection, but we will only really know that on Saturday,” the Ajax gaffer said in his pre-match interview.
Meanwhile, Noussair Mazraoui and Nico Tagliafico have been ruled out of this weekend’s clash against FC Utrecht.
