Asamoah Gyan has taken another swipe at Asante Kotoko fans, warning them not to mention his name when they travel abroad.
The former Liberty Professionals forward was introduced on the 75th minutes in Legon Cities home game against Asante Kotoko in the matchday 22 games at the Accra Sports Stadium.
However, Gyan was shockingly booed by some Kotoko fans when he stepped up to take a free kick on the 79th minutes.
Gyan reacted to the incident with a video which lasted over three minutes targeted at Kotoko fans ‘in Accra’ according to him.
“I have this message for Kotoko fans in Accra. I am a Kotoko fan and I will always remain a Kotoko fan.
“When I came on I was booed by the fans which I understand but I want them to know that I will always be the one and only Asamoah Gyan.
“I want to tell them that when they travel outside of the country and get to the airport they should mention the names of their players,” he said in a video on his Instagram.
The game ended 1-0 in favour of Asante Kotoko with Augustine Okrah scoring the only goal of the game on the 13th minutes.
The defeat meanwhile leave Legon Cities at the 16th position with 23 points and will be hosted by Ebusua Dwarfs in the matchday 23 games at the Cape Coast Stadium this weekend.
Gyan lasted 15 minutes on the field after replacing Hans Kwofie on the 75th-minute mark to make just his 5th appearance of the season for the Citizens.
