The head coach for Legon Cities FC, Coach Bashir Hayford is booming with confidence as he prepares his team for the tough clash against Hearts this weekend.
The Royals despite their slow start to the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season, have gradually picked up and now even out of the relegation zone on the back of successive positive results.
In midweek, the team defied all odds to draw goalless with league leaders Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium.
At the same venue this weekend, Legon Cities FC will play as a guest to Hearts of Oak in a match that will serve as a matchday 13 encounter in the Ghana Premier League.
Ahead of the match, Coach Bashir Hayford says his team will prepare like any other game in hopes of getting points at the end of the clash.
“We will prepare well for our next game [Hearts of Oak] like we did against Karela United today. We will continue to take it game by game. I am still for many changes,” the experienced coach said after the draw with Karela United.
Coach Bashir Hayford continued, “I am very confident that before the first round ends and we start the second round, you’ll see a change in this team. I am very happy with how the boys are gradually picking up. We have done a lot of work and that’s showing.”
At the end of matchday 12 of the Ghana Premier League, the improved Legon Cities FC side has climbed to 14th on the standings with 13 points.
