Berekum Chelsea have made a push to get into the top four of the Ghana Premier League standings with a massive 2-1 win against Legon Cities FC.
The team from Berekum today played host to the Royals in a clash serving as a matchday 18 meeting of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
On the back of a goalless scoreline from the first half, Bright Amponsah found the back of the Legon Cities FC net three minutes into the second half to give Berekum Chelsea a deserved lead.
In the pulsating encounter that ensued from there on, the visitors managed to draw level in the 76th minute courtesy of a strike from lethal forward Hans Kwofie.
While the match looked as if it will end in a stalemate, an equalizer from Stephen Amankonah in the final 10 minutes of the game powered Berekum Chelsea to a 2-1 win to give the side the maximum three points.
With the win giving Chelsea a push for their top-four aspirations, it forces Legon Cities FC to stay close to the relegation zone.
