Kumasi Asante Kotoko is staying top of the Ghana Premier League table following their goalless draw against Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Following an impressive run of three matches without a win in the second round of the league campaign prior to today’s fixture, the Reds have managed to sneak into first place.
Determined to keep going to ensure they lift the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2020/2021 football season, the team from Kumasi today fought hard to pick a point off Great Olympics.
On the matchday, the home team that won the first of the tie earlier in the season defended very well while picking key moments to hurt the opponent in the final third.
At the end of a fierce contest on the back of the goalless draw, it is Asante Kotoko that can be happy. The result means they will likely end the matchday still top of the league table with 35 points.
For Great Olympics, they remain in the running for the enviable title as they maintain their second spot on the standings as well.
