Defender Farouk Adams finally handed bail; set to appear in Court on April 7

Aduana Stars defender, Farouk Adams have finally been handed bail but will have to reappear in Court on April 7, 2021, Modernghana Sports can report.

The strong defender was earlier this month arrested for hitting a police officer with his car. Unfortunately for the young officer identified as Constable Amos Maatey Niganoka, he died on the spot.

Subsequently arraigned before court, Farouk Adams was charged with on several counts that included careless and inconsiderate driving, as well as negligently causing harm.

Following another hearing on the case today, a Berekum Circuit court has granted Farouk Adam bail at GHS60,000 with four sureties.

According to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM, the Aduana Stars defender will be recalled on April 7, 2021, by the Court.

The other charges against Farouk Adams are ‘failing to report the accident to the police and failing to stop to attend to an accident victim’.

He is also charged with driving a motor vehicle without valid road user certificates and driving a motor vehicle without valid insurance.
