Black Stars: Otto Addo is the best choice for the job – ExCO member Dr Tony Aubynn

Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association [GFA], Dr Tony Aubynn, believes Otto Addo is currently the best choice for the vacant Black Stars job.

Addo, who is currently the assistant coach of Borussia Dortmund was part of Milovan Rajevac’s technical team.

However, the team was disbanded after Ghana’s poor performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON] in Cameroon.

The country’s football governing body are currently on a hunt for a new coach following the sacking of Rajevac.

However, former West Ham United and Brighton manager, Chris Hughton has also emerged to be the next Black Stars coach.

But Dr Aubynn believes Otto Addo, who is a former Ghana international is the best choice for the job.

“Otoo Addo is the best choice now because he was the assistant for Milo and he has trained with the boys and they respect him so much,” he said on Accra based Angel FM.

“He’s the right man for the job now, considering the fact that he’s also a former player,” he added.

The Black Stars will play Nigeria in the playoff of the 2022 World Cup in March.
