Ghanaian international Reggae artist, Rocky Dawuni has disclosed that he does not do music with expectations of awards.
According to the two time Grammy Awards nominee, he has always told people that he has never done music for the sake of awards or in a chase for them.
“I have always done music to innovate and connect with people and spread happiness, joy and also to bring God to people around the globe,” he said.
He further mentioned that his Grammys nomination should be a motivation to upcoming musicians to form a united forefront and also work hard to help Ghana win the prestigious award.
Rocky Dawuni added that music shouldn’t always be about the Grammys adding that there is always a bigger world to impact on.
In 2021, the ‘In Ghana’ hitmaker was nominated for the “Best Reggae Album” for his “Branches of The Same Tree”(Cumbancha), in 2016 helping him make history as first Ghanaian to be nominated by the Grammys Awards.
