“What is Happening to me” is not an approved textbook- NaCCA

Accra, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) says book titled, “What is Happening to me” has not been submitted to the Council to undergo the necessary assessment to attain approval for use by Ghana schools.

A statement signed by Dr Edward Appiah, the Director General, NaCCA, copied to the Ghana News Agency, urged the public to visit the agency’s website (http://www.nacca.gov.gh) for the list of approved books.

It said the Council was embarking on a random visit to pre-tertiary schools and bookshops and that drastic measures shall be taken against the publishers of books, bookshop, and schools that were in possession of books found not to have gone through the assessment process by NaCCA.

The statement said it was the hope that heads of schools, parents and guardians, bookshops and the public would cooperate with NaCCA to ensure improvement in the delivery of quality education for learners.
