Director of Communications for Ghana Premier League side, Real Tamale United (RTU), Sey Mubarak says they have not received any offer from Asante Kotoko for talisman David Abagna Sandan.
The dynamic midfielder has been linked to the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the new football season.
According to reports, the process was 85% percent complete between Kotoko and RTU where Abagna will join the Reds after his national duties with the Black Galaxies in the 2023 CHAN qualifiers.
However, the spokesperson for RTU, Sey Mubarak has debunked the said news escalating saying that Abagna remains an RTU asset and should Kotoko express keen interest and require his services, they should use the right channel.
“We have not officially received any offer from Asante Kotoko or any other team as has been reported by a section of the media. David Abagna is still our player,” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM. He is not the only player linked to some clubs. Roland Frimpong and our goalkeeper have all been linked to other clubs.
“As management, I can confirm that we have not received any request for him from any club. If indeed Kotoko are interested in him, they know the right channel to use,” he added.
Real Tamale United finished 15th on the league table with 41 points following their return to the elite division after playing in the Division One League for over seven years.
