We have done well, give us another mandate – President to Ghanaians

Accra,- The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has kept faith with Ghanaians by delivering on election campaign promises made to them, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has said.

They had performed creditably and deserved to have their mandate renewed.

Addressing a rally to climax the party’s delegate’s conference at the Trade Fair Centre, at La, Accra, President Akufo-Addo said the sound and significant social and economic milestone that his government chalked in its time in office had positioned the country on the path to development.

Thus, Ghanaians should put their trust in the NPP administration and give it a resounding victory to pursue its agenda of securing development, progress and prosperity for the country.

The President told the gathering that the NPP was the only party in the history of Ghana that had done a lot more in its first term in office.

He said with the introduction of the Free Senior High School policy, the programme for Planting for Food and Jobs, the One District, One Factory, One Village, One Dam, among other interventions, Ghanaians had realised that it was only the NPP that was capable of supervising the transformation of the economy.

Taking a shot at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), President Akufo-Addo said their party was no option for the country because it had nothing to offer.

He called on Ghanaians to lend their support and prayers to his government to make the country economically independent, prosperous enough not to need aid, and competitive enough to engage with the rest of the world through trade and investment.

Party bigwigs from the 16 regions including a Deputy Chief of Staff, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Special Initiatives Minister Hawa Koomson, Works and Housing Minister Samuel Atta-Akyea and Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, took turns to explain some of the flagship policies of the Akufo-Addo-led government to enthusiastic NPP supporters and sympathisers at the event.

They all called for the unalloyed support of party faithful, and urged them to work hard by disseminating the NPP’s achievements to ensure victory for the party come December 2020.
