The Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has advised the media to desist from publishing wild allegations made by politicians concerning the electoral process without first cross checking their veracity.
“Most often you find out there are no basis in the said allegations”, he said.
Mr Amissah-Arthur was speaking to the media on Wednesday after casting his vote at the Accra High school polling station.
Mr Amissah-Arthur described the process as very smooth, adding “I am confident about the outcome of the elections as I did four years ago.”
According to him, although voting did not begin on schedule at some of the polling stations, that would not mar the success of the polls and predicted a one-touch victory for the incumbent administration.
He advised the electorate to conduct themselves in a civil and peaceful manner and make Ghana and Africa proud.
