At the end of the draw, current champions Real Madrid have been drawn in Group F with a big chance of finishing top at the end of the six matches.

Group A is expected to be tough, especially for Rangers. The Scottish giants will face tough opposition from Dutch Eredivisie Champions Ajax, former competition winners Liverpool, as well as Napoli.

Throughout the Group Phase of the tournament, all eyes will be on Group C where rebuilding Barcelona find themselves.

That group also has two other former winners of the competition including Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

Although Viktoria Plzen will not be fancied in the group, the Czech side cannot be ruled out entirely as the team would want to prove a point.
