TNMA holds its maiden nine lessons and carols

Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, (TNMA), on Friday, December 21, 2018 held its maiden annual festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at the Assembly’s hall on the theme: For Unto Us A Saviour Is Born, ahead of Christmas.

The Municipal Chief Executive, (MCE) of Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality, Hon Gilbert Ken Asmah, Heads of Departments, Representatives of Anglogold Ashanti Iduapriem, Goldfields Ghana Limited, Civil Societies, Assembly Members and distinguished personalities and ministers of the gospel took turns to read portions of the Bible.

Hon Gilbert Ken Asmah, MCE charged Ghanaians to make a sober reflection upon the teachings and doctrines of Jesus which dwelt on love to show affection to each other and live together in peace and harmony at all times.

The Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols is a service of Christian worship celebrating the birth of Jesus that is traditionally followed at Christmas.

The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus, are told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns and choral music.
