The government is set to borrow GHS6.557 billion from its latest treasury bill auction on August 9, 2024.
This is expected from the 91-day, 182-day and 365-day bills.
In last week’s treasury bill auction, the government secured GHS3.803 billion, missing its target of GHS4.363 billion.
The auction on August 2 and the issue on August 5 secured GHS2.389 for the 91-day bill. The government accepted GHS1.170 billion for the 182-day bill and GHS243.04 billion for the 365-day bill.
Last week, the government sold a total of GHS4.062 billion. Interest rates stood at 24.82% for the 91-day bill, 26.76% for the 182-day bill, and 27.85% for the 365-day bill.
According to the Bank of Ghana results, all bids tendered in this week’s auction were accepted.
