Ghanaian superstar Sarkodie has been eulogised by the Black Entertainment Television (BET) network for his enormous contributions to African music.
It stated that Sarkodie’s win at the 2019 BET Awards, where he was named best international flow of the year, demonstrates how well African musicians perform in global music, particularly hip-hop.
The Ghanaian and African most decorated rapper received the award after a potent freestyle with great rappers like Falz the Bahd Guy, Ghetts and Little Simz, Nasty C and Tory Lanez.
With excerpts from the scene where Sarkodie was called up on stage to receive his award, BET wrote on Instagram on Sunday, “Sarkodie is proof that African artists are bringing the fire when he took home the Best International Flow Award at the 2019 BET.”
With enthusiasm after seeing the huge endorsement, Sarkodie reacted “big thanks to BET Hip-Hop Awards that was a great moment for Ghana Music 🇬🇭 🇬🇭 🇬🇭 and Africa at large.”
Sarkodie is currently working on a new project that will reportedly feature some of the world’s biggest musical figures.
