Tema, May 29, GNA-Mrs. Arita- ita Ayer, a pastor with Priesthood Worship Centre (PWC) Tema Community Six Assemblies of God Church has urged Ghanaians to adopt healthy eating habits to reduce contracting illnesses.

She said a healthy lifestyle was essential for Christians to use their God-given talents and skills for the benefit of the church and society at large.

Mrs. Ayer was speaking on the theme: “Living a Meaningful Life Today for Tomorrow” at a Sunday service.

She said, at a point in one’s life, it was important to limit the intake of certain foods to avoid certain sicknesses.

She advised the congregation to eat less oily food, more vegetables, and fruits, and drink more water to enhance their health.

She emphasized the need to eat a balanced diet to expand life span and debunked the assertion that people live good lives when they eat fatty and sugary foods.

Taking the scriptures from Luke 16: 19- 31 and Matthew Chapter 25, Mrs. Ayer said both the rich and the poor had the opportunity to serve God with their resources and gifts.

She noted that being poor did not guarantee that one would go to heaven just as being rich did not mean one was going to hell.

She urged Christians to define life in the context that pleased God to attract more blessings, adding that, whatever one did, should be done in ways that pleased God.

“If the way you define life is dressing, dress to please God, if it is eating whatever means do it to please God.” Mrs. Ayer stated.
