BOLGATANGA: Prophet Kenneth Afflu, the Founder and General Overseer of Pearls Prayer Ministry, has urged Christians to pray for God’s will to be realized in Ghana’s upcoming general election. He emphasized that God alone holds the power to determine the next president of the country and discouraged public predictions by some prophets, citing concerns over potential divisions they might cause within the church and the nation.
According to Ghana News Agency, Prophet Afflu addressed his congregation on Sunday, highlighting the importance of maintaining Ghana’s peace to bolster its democratic standing and foster development. He remarked that a nation seeking divine guidance and committing to God’s work experiences progress in all areas.
Prophet Afflu stressed the significance of prayer as a spiritual practice, urging Ghanaians to pray against any form of violence during the presidential and parliamentary elections. He expressed faith that such prayers would neutralize any spiritual forces opposing the election,
ensuring peace and the manifestation of God’s will in the country.
Furthermore, he called on the Christian Council of Ghana to designate a day for nationwide fasting and prayers, seeking divine intervention in the electoral process. Prophet Afflu also encouraged collaboration among traditionalists, Muslims, and Christians, asserting that collective prayers would reach God’s ears.
