Accra: Professor Godfred Bokpin, a renowned professor of economics, has encouraged Ghanaian businesses to form partnerships for bigger business breakthroughs. He emphasized that partnerships enable indigenous companies to pool resources together to invest in large-scale opportunities.
According to Ghana News Agency, Professor Bokpin made these remarks at a seminar organized by NOVA. Business School Africa, an emerging business-focused institution. He stressed that successful partnerships are built on trust, integrity, and collaboration, rather than individualism. Professor Bokpin highlighted sectors such as creativity and apparel, agricultural value addition, and internal tourism as areas with significant potential for economic growth in Ghana.
Discussing the 2025 budget and its implications for the future, Professor Bokpin urged the government to address inflation and other fiscal policies that impede economic growth. He called for measures that would foster a conducive environment for business expansion and development.
Professor Mathew Tsamenyi, President of NOVA. Business School Africa, emphasized the need for African businesses to evolve beyond their founders. He stated that the institution aims to embed real-time business models and ideas that support development. The school, in collaboration with Eagles Hospitality Group and the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, among others, aspires to position the Western Region as a hub for innovative business practices.
NOVA. Business School Africa is set to officially open in June, offering digital and entrepreneurship programs on a residential basis.
