Pentecost Church leader urges Christians not to take God’s Presence for granted

Ashaiman, Jan. 9, GNA – Christians must be focused and desist from all activities that would distract them from the directions of God, Deaconess Ethel Oparebea Arthur Yedu, Women’s Leader English Assembly of the Church of Pentecost in the Lebanon Ashaiman District has said.

Ms Yedu noted that the presence of God must never be taken for granted or compromised for anything no matter the situation.

Speaking on the theme of the church in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after church service: “Equipping the Church as an army to possess the nation,” she noted that if Christians understand that God is mightier and the Lord of lords, they would not take his presence for granted.

She stated that without God’s presence the church would be an ordinary place, adding that, “so if He is in our presence then we must show reverence.”

The Deaconess described the church as the Zion City where God dwells hence the need to accord it with maximum respect and obedience.

“The church is a crucial place, it is where information from our Heavenly Father through anointed leaders get to us, we must not joke with it,” she noted.

Talking about the theme of the Church, Ms Yedu said, the church is a place where Christian faithful are given the necessary tools and skills to go into the world to preach to the people to come to the church to help in the Kingdom business.

She said today’s corporate Christians must be intentional about what they do in church and be determined towards winning souls for Christ.
