Passengers in Critical Condition as Articulator Truck Crashes on Berekum-Sampa Stretch

Berekum: Three people are in critical condition following a head-on collision between an articulator truck and a Jeep 4—4 vehicle on the Berekum-Sampa Road in the Bono Region.



According to Ghana News Agency, the victims, who have not yet been identified, are receiving treatment at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital. The crash occurred between 1900 hours and 2000 hours on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. The driver of the articulator truck, which was loaded with cashew nuts and had the registration number BA 1818-15, was attempting to navigate around a faulty tipper truck that was parked in the middle of the road. During this maneuver, the truck collided head-on with a Land Rover vehicle with registration GR 9547-14 traveling from the opposite direction.



Abdul Rahman Fuseini, the driver’s mate of the truck, provided an account of the incident to GNA. Meanwhile, Mr. Joseph Nkrumah, the Berekum branch Secretary of the Cargo Union branch of the Progressive Transport Owners Association of Ghana, informed GNA that the road has since been cleared to facilitate the movement of vehicles.
