NPP Chairman Cautions Parliamentary Aspirants In Central Region
The Central Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Robert Kutin has sounded a strong warning to persons interested in contesting the 23 Parliamentary seats in the region not to attempt ‘test waters’ before nominations are opened saying they face disqualification from the race if they pay Deaf Ear to authorities.
” As at now, Nominations are not opened. What we have as a party are the 19 Members of Parliament who are recognized and are contributing their quota towards victory 2020.
We will not countenance any person or groups of people trying to lobby for a candidate when the party has not authorized them and contrary to party rules and regulations ”
Mr. Robert Kutin gave the warning signs at the inauguration of Youth, Nasara and Women’s Wings of the NPP for Gomoa Central constituency in the Central Constituency at Gomoa Ekwamkrom.
He congratulated the newly inaugurated wings and tasked them to work assiduously for the party to win 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections in the constituency.
“Today’s inauguration is to prepare the party towards Victory 2020 and beyond. We appreciate efforts you made in the wake of 2016 general elections and has high hope that we will increase the tally for both Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
You worked to capture the seat from the NDC in 2016 and trust that you will work in unison for the battle ahead. All hands must be on deck for NPP to win massively in the Gomoa Central constituency.
Let me say it again that until nominations are opened National and Regional Executives of the NPP recognize your Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Hon. Naana Eyiah Quansah.
We have seen her brilliant performance over the past two years and would continue to hold on to it till nominations are opened for anybody who wants to contest her as Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central constituency”
Gomoa Central District Chief Executive, Hon. Benjamin Kojo Otoo outlined a number of developmental projects the Assembly has undertaken to improve the lives of the people in the district.
He named construction and renovation of classroom blocks for basic and Senior High Schools, increase of School Feeding from 6 in 2016 to 26 with an additional 10 schools to be added.
Support for farmers as part of Planting for Food and Jobs, financial support for students pursuing various courses in Tertiary Education institutions, the creation of jobs for the youth, capacity building for artisans, provision of modern boreholes and toilet facilities to eradicate environmentally related diseases and others
Hon. Benjamin Kojo Otoo noted that the Gomoa Central District Assembly would continue to offer better services to the people in all the communities pledging that his office was opened 24/7 for discussions and suggestions aimed at ensuring total development of the district.
The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Constituency, Hon. Naana Eyiah Quansah lauded Chairman Robert Kutin and his Regional Executives for continually supporting the constituency in its endeavor
She promised to work with them to maintain the seat, win massively for His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and to making history for NPP in the 2020 general elections.

Hon. Naana Eyiah Quansah noted that through her Common Fund and her own resources, she has been able to assist numerous Community Self-help Projects in the constituency.
I supported Gomoa Obuasi community with 100 bags of cement to their community durbar grounds. I have subsequently supported almost all the communities with either bags of cement, a trip of sand /stones, roofing sheets and building materials to complete their Self-help projects.
I can mention Asebu-Pomadze, Brofoyedur , Mangoase, Aboso-Benso, Ekroful-Akropong Abonyi, Manso and Gomoa Lome for example
Health centers, health post, and CHPS Compound have been supported with equipment to offer quick healthcare delivery to the people.
On education, I recently donated 40 Computers and accessories to 20 Basic Schools to facilitate ICT studies in the beneficiary schools
Today, more young ladies have been enrolled into dressmaking and hairdressing apprenticeship to enable them to acquire vocational skills to reduce unemployment thus eradicating poverty.
The Regional Chairman was accompanied by Regional 2nd Vice Chairman, Mr. Kofi Karikari Bondzie, Regional Secretary, Mr Takyi Mensah, and his Deputy Madam Sarah Afful, Regional Organizer, Mr. Percy Dennis, Regional Women Organizer, Madam Charlotte Antwi, and Regional Communication Officer, Mr. Robert Amissah and Alhaji Omar Adam, Gomoa Central Constituency NPP Chairman among others.
