NDC Congress: Winners and Losers

Accra- The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) successfully organised its Ninth National Delegates Congress at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, La Accra, over the weekend.

The Ghana News Agency presents the results of the voting as certified by the Electoral Commission:

National Chairman: Dan Abodakpi -2,199, Betty Mould Iddrisu -363, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo -3,656, (duly elected), Alhaji Huudu Yahaya -1,823 and Danny Annang -309.

National Vice Chairman: Lawyer Adu- Yeboah- 782, Said Sinare � 1,201 (duly elected third National Vice Chairman), Alhaji Amadu Bukari Sorogho � 605, Seth Ofosu-Ohene � 439, Yaw Owusu Obimpeh � 841, Sherry Ayittey � 1,285 (duly elected Second National Vice Chairman), Alhaji Sumaila Mahama �168, Awudu Sofo Asorka � 2,664 (duly elected First National Vice Chairman), and Dr Kwame Ampofo � 279.

General Secretary: Johnson Asiedu Nketiah – 6,642 votes (duly elected) and Samuel Koku Sitsofo Anyidoho – 1,625 votes/

Deputy General Secretary: Ephram Nii Tan Sackey � 349, Kale Cezar � 867, George Lawson � 547,

Alhaji Nuru Hamidan � 1069, Barbara Serwaa Asamoah � 3,041 (duly elected First Deputy General Secretary), Kojo Adu Asare -288, Evans Amoo � 33, Abdullah Ishaq Farrakhan � 106, Lawyer David Kwaku Worwui-Brown -136, Nii Dodoo Dodoo � 50 and Peter Boamah Otukonor -1,816, (duly elected Second Deputy General Secretary).

National Deputy National Organise: Dr Alhassan Hanifa -1386, Kobby Barlon – 2,619 (duly elected as First Deputy National Organiser), Vivian Abla Kpeglo � 610, Mohammed Mamudu � 347,,Agbesi Nutsu � 332, Chief Hamilton Biney Nixon – 2,405 (duly elected as Second Deputy National Organiser), Alfred Kojo Triddles � 89, Ebenezer Asare Sackitey � 163 and Ahmed Gedel � 329.

National Communications Director: Fred Agbenyo -2,225, Sammy Gyamfi -6,225, (duly elected).
