NASFAT donates to Accra Psychiatric Hospital

Accra, The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), an Islamic Organisation, on Christmas Day donated food and other items to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.

The items include rice, adult diapers, toilet rolls, sugar, cooking oil, detergents and antiseptic.

Mr Banji Busari, the World Wide Publicity Secretary of NASFAT, said the donation was to show love to the patients by supporting the hospital to properly take care of the inmates

He said the gesture formed part of the organisation’s welfare programme, and prayed that the inmates would be completely healed and reintegrate into society.

Mr Busari appealed to other organisations to emulate the example of NASFAT to the inmates to better their lot.

Ms Beatrice Nyarko, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services, Accra Psychiatric Hospital, expressed appreciation to the organisation for the gesture, saying that, We really appreciate that you see this as necessary because the hospital is in dire need.

The NASFAT aims at developing the Muslim society, nurtured by true understanding of Islam for the spiritual upliftment and welfare of mankind.
