About 30 charcoal producers from Montserrado, Margibi Bomi and Grand Cape Mount Counties are expected to undergo forest regulations compliance training.
The National Charcoal Union of Liberia (NACUL), with funding from the Food and Agriculture Organization/European Union (FAO-EU FLEGT), will conduct the training on Friday-Saturday, March 20-21, 2020, at the Martor Guest House in Soul Clinic, Paynesville, outside Monrovia.
NACUL’s President, Mr. Richard T. A. Dorbor, says the training is intended to build the capacity of charcoal producers leadership. He says it is part of NACUL’s efforts in creating awareness in forest regulations compliance among charcoal producers.
According to him, participants will include leaders of the 17 charcoal producers network associations from the four counties.
