The Northern Regional acting Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Ali Adolf has chided the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the ‘break the 8’ agenda, saying that President Akufo-Addo is even struggling to complete his own 8-year term in office.

Chairman Ali who was speaking exclusively on Zaa TV’s weekend’s political talkshow dubbed – ‘Lahabali Kpana’ described President Akufo-Addo as a “struggling” leader who is destined to fail.

According to him, there is too much hardship in the country for the NDC to spend time fighting each other instead of exposing the government for Ghanaians to know the kind of people managing the country’s economy.

“Currently, my focus is uniting the NDC. Bringing everyone on board so we can defeat the NPP to rescue Ghanaians. It is not about who does what or where. And I have started doing that. We scheduled to meet the council of elders. The NDC MPs in the region every stakeholder in the party,” he said.

When asked if the happenings in the NDC would not affect their chances in 2024 elections, Chairman Adolf answered, “No. You can see even President Akufo-Addo is struggling to complete his 8 years mandate, how much more breaking same 8?”

Chairman Ali Adolf became the NDC Northern Regional Acting Chairman following the death of the late Chairman Abdulai Ibrahim Mobila this month.

He was selected by his colleague regional executives to act until the party’s next regional executive elections slated to be held this year.

Chairman Ali Adolf’s selection was endorsed by the NDC Council of Elders on August 29 at a press conference.
