MTTD Police training programme ends

Accra, Police training programme for Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) of Police personnel in Accra has ended with police officers ready to implement what they learnt from the programme.

A total of 665 Police personnel participated in the training programme.

Participants at the end of the course were issued with certificates of validation by high ranking personalities in the Police service includeing the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr David Asante-Apeatu.

The Police training programme took place at the National Police Training Academy at Tesano and lasted for over two months.

COP Maxwell Atingane, Director General of MTTD said the programme was aimed at restructuring and facilitating the Police force to achieve excellence in their service to the nation.

The training programme, he said, would go a long way to make the Police Service effective in carrying out their responsibilities.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency (GNA), Emmanuel S.K. Zakaria a dispatch rider said Ghanaians should expect a world class service from the Ghana Police Service and the training has given us the capacity to handle situations
