MTN Ghana organises Quranic Recitation, donates to celebrate Chief Imam

Accra- The Management of MTN Ghana has organised a Quranic Recitation in honor of the National Chief Iman, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu’s centenary birthday.

The management also presented a cheque of GH 30, 000 to support the Chief Imam Educational Fund and some items to help him in his Eid Ul-Fitr celebration.

The items includes 10 bags of rice, 20 cartons of soft drinks, 5 cartons of vegetable oil, 30 cartons of mineral water, two Rams and GH 500 worth of Airtime.

MTN Ghana for 12 consistent years, have been supporting the Chief Imam during Eid Ul-Fitr celebrations by way of donations and organizing key events in Nima and Accra New Town, all in an effort to foster peaceful coexistence in our communities.

Mr Abubakar Mohammed, General Manager Distributive Trade at MTN Ghana who presented the items said, a few people live to witness their century birthday in such great condition.

He said the Chief Imam’s centenary celebration clearly highlights Allah’s favor and blessings over his life and MTN is happy to be associated with you.

Mr Mohammed said, MTN sees Sheikh sharubutu persona as a symbol of the values we stand for, adding that, “Sheikh Sharabutu mirrors our values of Integrity, Relationship and Leadership which we hold very dear to our brand.”

He said over the over the past years, MTN Ghana has enjoyed tremendous support and collaboration with the Office of the National Chief Imam and has also been supporting the National Hajj Board annually in the organization of the pilgrimage to Mecca for the past 6 years.

Sheikh Arimiyawu Shuaibu, a spokesperson of the National Chief Imam thanked MTN Ghana for the gesture and their contributions towards education, social, economic and infrastructure development.

Sheikh Sharabutu prayed for Allah’s blessing for the company, it’s management and staff and the entire nation.
