Embattled Nollywood actor Armstrong Moses has reportedly returned to the movie set despite facing suspension by the Actors Guild of Nigeria over his alleged rape case.

The actor, who is a former aide to the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, was recently arraigned before a Magistrate court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, for allegedly raping a minor.

Armstrong is the second Nigerian actor to be entangled in an alleged rape case with a minor this year.

Premiumtime Nigeria reported that after his arrest, he was suspended indefinitely by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the umbrella body of actors in Nigeria.

However he is back on set days after he was granted bail in the sum of N5 million by Judge Ntong Ntong,

He announced on Facebook that he was back on set.

“My first movie set after my incarceration. Done Here. #DoneAndDusted. #OverAndOut.

#AWalkAway… The Movie,” he wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, the AGN National President, Emeka Rollas, noted that the actor is still suspended.

“We don’t just lift suspension without getting proper information from the right channels.

“As a Guild, we follow the procedure. We also have our committee that will investigate the charges levelled against him. Their findings will determine whether his suspension will be lifted,” he told Premiumtimes.

Moses in response said he is not aware of any suspension.

“My lawyer is not aware; my manager is not aware; nobody is aware of any suspension,” he noted.
