MiDA appoints Eson-Benjamin as interim CEO
Accra, The Millennium Development Authority (MiDA) has appointed Mr Martin Eson-Benjamin as Acting Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Authority with effect from December 5, 2017 until a substantive one is appointed.
A statement issued by the Public Affairs Directorate of MiDA and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Friday, said Mr Eson-Benjamin brought to MiDA a unique set of skills and expertise having successfully implemented Compact 1 of the project from 2007 to 2012.
It said Mr Eson-Benjamin ensured that over 95 per cent of the Millennium Development Challenge Account Grant was disbursed on project investments in the country.
The statement said the appointee also achieved the feat on the back of a solid track record in the private sector having previously performed executive roles at the Unilever Ghana and the Ghana Breweries Limited.
It said MiDA looked forward to continuing to work with its various stakeholders to deliver the Compact for the people of Ghana.
Meanwhile, Mr Owura K. Sarfo, the immediate past CEO of MiDA, had agreed with the Authority for a mutual separation.
