Kumasi- Lady Julia Osei Tutu, the wife of Asantehene, has pledged to give strong support to the Kumasi SOS Children’s Village � raise funds to help take good care of the children.
She would work closely with the management to ensure the smooth running of the orphanage.
Lady Julia was speaking at a party she organized for the children on Easter Monday, at Asokore-Mampong.
She also presented to the orphanage large quantity of food items � bags of rice, maize, cartons of Milo drink and cream milk, sugar, fruits, vegetables and tubers of yam. Added to these were soap and detergents.
She has been doing this every Easter to bring joy to the kids.
Lady Julia applauded the management and caretakers for their extraordinary humanitarian service and said raising children is not an easy task.
She advised the children to focus on their education, to be disciplined and respectful.
They should have self-belief and work hard to live their dreams.
Mr. Alexander Mar Kekula, the National Director, SOS Children’s Villages Ghana, said they were touched by her wonderful gesture.
He promised that they would continue to do everything they could to touch the lives � bring hope to vulnerable children.
