KRIF Ghana donates safe to Immigration Service

Accra, KRIF Ghana Limited has donated a DIPLOMAT brand safe worth GH 15,000.00 to the Ghana Immigration Service as part of its corporate social responsibilities and to ensure for proper keeping of documents and valuable items.

The safe has features including fireproof, burglar proof, water proof, double wall construction insulated with fire-resistant glass fiber, adjustable interior fittings, shelf for file hanger, pull-out shelf, pull out drawer and pull-out file hanger.

The safe weighed 185 kilogrammes without accessories and 220 kilogrammes with accessories.

Mrs Susan AwuraAdjoaOkosun, Executive Director of KRIF Ghana Ltd said the company’s objective was to ensure that every office in Ghana owns a safe.

She said in pursuit of this, they are donating 52 safes over a period 52 weeks, at an average of one donation per week to institutions, adding that the Immigration Service’s received the third donation.

She mentioned the Ghana Police Service, the Registrar General’s Department, the Office of the Chief of Staff, the Office of the Chief Justice, Lands commission as the Offices next in line to receive similar donations.

MrsOkosun said: This exemplary initiative is our support to the work of deserving public and private Institutions and also to show appreciation to the Ghanaian public for keeping faith with Krif Ghana Ltd for the past 32 years of our business.

She said 31 of the safes would be donated to organisations selected by Krif Ghana Limited while the remaining 21, would be selected by the public.

She said they have set up an online nomination platform where the public could nominate deserving institutions across the ten regions and within the 254 districts of Ghana.

The Executive Director said the platform was set up by Ringier Ghana Ltd, a Digital Marketing Company and would be managed independently, adding that Krif would not be involved in the nomination process, to ensure transparency.

She said organisations not selected as beneficiaries of the free safes would be given the opportunity to buy their choice of safes at a discount.

Mr Kwame AsuahTakyi, the Comptroller-General of Immigration- GIS, who received the safe on behalf of the Service expressed the gratitude of the Service to KRIF Ghana for considering the Service as part of the beneficiary institutions.

He said the Krif Ghana Limited undertook the kind gesture to enhance the operations of institutions without expecting anything in return, adding that: For this, may God bless you abundantly.

MrTakyi assured the company of the Service’s preparedness to properly maintain the safe and use it for a longer period to enhance their operations.

KRIF Ghana Limited is a company that deals in traditional office supplies, money handling machines, security safes and vault doors; and information technology products including Customer Feedback Systems and Queue Management Systems.
