Cardiff, Anthony Joshua tipped the scales at his heaviest ever weight, as he prepares to defend his IBF and WBA heavyweight titles against Carlos Takam in Cardiff, on Saturday.
Joshua weighed in at 115.2 kilograms on Friday, which is heavier than his previous high of 113.4kg for his win against Wladimir Klitschko in April.
Takam, the Cameroon-born Frenchman who has 35 wins, three losses and one draw to his name in 39 fights, weighed in at 106.6kg.
“I was reading everywhere that I was going to come in a stone lighter,” Joshua told Sky Sports.
“I’ve done a lot more running. Maybe I’m starting to fill out and find my natural weight.
“Takam has a mindset of nothing to lose. That’s a dangerous mindset to have, but I have to deal with these styles.
“I have to break him down, I’m hungry still, forever I will be. The outcome will remain the same on Saturday.”
