Kumasi, The Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Ashanti Region, have launched this year’s six-month long convention series aimed at empowering individuals not only to confront and endure life’s challenges but to cope with it productively.
Mr. Edward Appiah, the Ashanti Regional media contact told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the series beginning on Friday, July 14 through to December, will be held under the theme, Don’t Give Up at their Assembly Hall at Asokore Mampong, near Kumasi.
He said the programme is divided into 52 parts and will be presented in a variety of formats including brief discourses, interviews and short videos.
Additionally, one segment of a three-part feature film entitled Remember the Wife of Lot, will be shown each afternoon.
Mr. Appiah said this year’s event is part of a global campaign to personally invite the general public to attend and that admission is free with no collection of offerings.
