JAK Foundation signs MOU with Brazil-Africa Institute

Accra- The John AgyekumKufuor (JAK) Foundation has entered into a partnership agreement with the Brazil-Africa Institute, for an exchange programme involving members of the Kufuor Young Entrepreneurship Network (K-YEN), in the area of entrepreneurship training.

The agreement also seeks to promote the exchange of ideas of the youth of both countries to enhance their entrepreneurship skills for economic development.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), was signed in Accra, after the fifteen pioneer members of the K-YEN was inaugurated, which would see the nurturing of young and brilliant Ghanaian entrepreneurs with ideas, coaching, mentoring and securing funds to promote their ventures.

Professor Joao Bosco Monte, President of the Brazil-Africa Institute, said the signing and launch of the K-YEN, was an opportunity for the young entrepreneurs to stay focused and make good use of every avenue being created through the MOU.

According to him, the Brazil-Africa Institute is very instrumental in building a nation through youth involvement, saying this MOU would seek to promote the improvement of business practices and the business environment and encourage young entrepreneurs to go into business investments.

Mr Edward Effah, Chief Executive Officer, Fidelity Bank, congratulated John AgyekumKufuor for his role in shaping the lives of the young entrepreneurs by giving them the platform and opportunity to develop and affect the economy.

Creating entrepreneurs would provide a sustainable economic growth in Ghana, which is very critical for the country’s development and I would urge these young ones to stay focused and look for benchmarks within their industry to look up to.
