Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac has admitted that Gabon gave his team a tough and competitive game during the Group C clash on Friday night.
The Black Stars after losing their first game of the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament hoped to record a win from the second match.
However, following a very good performance from Gabon yesterday, Ghana was held to a 1-1 draw at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo after 90 minutes.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Milovan Rajevac said his team failed to win because they lost concentration at the depth.
“The game was tough and competitive. We have 1-0 and the score is suppose to remain like that. We already had three points in our pocket.
“Then like the first game, we lost some concentration,” Milovan Rajevac told the press.
With just one point and third on the Group C standings, Ghana must defeat Comoros on Tuesday to stand any chance of progressing to the knockout stage of the 2021 AFCON.
