Nigerian Afrobeats Wizkid, born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun plans to compensate his Ghanaian fans with another show after failing to show up at “Wizkid Live Accra,” an event he happened to be the headliner.

According to him, he is currently collaborating with his team to schedule another date to make up for the fiasco.

“My team and I are working on delivering a show to my amazing fans in Ghana.” It will be just us—me and you. date and details soon. “I love you,” a portion of his apology note reads.

He, however, apologised for failing to perform at the concert, explaining that it was the right move he had to make at that odd hour due to certain inconveniences.

The Grammy-winning singer said some safety and production issues, as well as his zeal to maintain his brand and deliver quality for his fans, are what accounted for this “no show.”

“Ghana is a country I hold so dear to my heart; first and foremost, I want to apologise to all my fans! Y’all know I would never do anything without a serious reason behind it.

“My brand is something I don’t joke with!” I sincerely apologise to everyone who made the effort to come out for me last night. “I was charged up and looking forward to doing this show,” he stated.

Wizkid continued, “However, please understand that every decision I made was in line with honouring my fans, and I would only make a drastic decision like this because it was the right thing to do and I had to.”

“Unfortunately, up until the day of this show, there continued to be safety and production issues that prevented me from putting on a high-quality show that my fans deserve.”

Many of his fans paid for tickets to attend the show on Saturday, December 10, due to his assurance that he would grace the event as the headline artist, but even a few hours before the show, the Grammy-winning artist refused to show up.

The turn of events has since left many talking and jabbing the Nigerian singer and the show organisers for “scamming” people.
