Seven years after parting ways with a media conglomerate, Multimedia Ghana Limited, ace broadcaster Blakk Rasta says he was betrayed by the company during his case in parliament.
He said even though the company constantly gave him assurances and morale he indicated that the company allegedly gave him a fake lawyer when he was hauled before the parliament in Accra.
“I had to leave because I felt betrayed by Multimedia. When I was firing, they kept giving me the morale and it was all nice. When something that had the resemblance like a problem came around, then they got frightened,” he said.
Black Rasta is recalled to have been hurled before the parliament’s privileges committee after he accused some Members of Parliament of smoking marijuana.
On live radio, the marijuana advocate stated that 80% of parliamentarians used the substance.
Black Rasta and his lawyer, Thaddeus Sory while before the house apologized for the statement stating that he (Blakk Rasta) was only on ‘heat’ when he made the statements.
According to him, his statement did not seek to tarnish the image of any parliamentarian.
After a while, Mr. Edward Doe Adjaho, the then Speaker of Parliament pardoned him and asked him not to sin anymore.
