Mr. Amadou Fontem Tingana, the agent of former Asante Kotoko striker, Franck Mbella Etouga has described the Nana Yaw Amponsah-led management as unprofessional and vowed never to transact business with the Ghanaian club until the current administration are out.
“Let (Kotoko) know that it is not all about money, relationship counts but unfortunately they have destroyed that beautiful relationship with AS Fortuna. Kotoko still owes them $10, 000. Based on this issue, no Cameronian player will join Kotoko unless this current crop of management of Kotoko are out of office”, he told Akoma FM in Kumasi.
Mr. Tingana said the management of the club remains the poorest he had worked with and called Nana Yaw Amponsah an agent rather than CEO.
“Players and Club Presidents in Cameroon know that the CEO of Kotoko is acting more as an agent than a club CEO. I’m saying this because he repeated what he has done to us to his player who plays in Moldova. He sold the player without consulting or seeking the consent of his agent. The management at Kotoko is the poorest I have seen, no agent will accept what they are doing to their clients. I regret doing business with them. Initially, I assumed that I was working with professionals but now I realize they are very unprofessional”, he added.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko a few days ago transferred Mbella Etouga to Egyptian side Al Masry for $400,000 and also faced an early exit from the CAF Champions League preliminary round one to Burkinabe side, Rail Club du Kadiogo following a 1-3 defeat on penalties last Sunday.
