Huawei Unveils Digital Intelligence Talent Development Initiatives at Mobile World Congress

Barcelona: During the recently concluded Mobile World Congress 2025, Huawei hosted the Digital Intelligence Talent Development Forum, drawing over 100 global customers. At this pivotal event, Huawei launched the Digital Intelligence Talent Development Service Solution 2.0, which introduces new talent standards, competence models, and learning experiences to support customers in building a workforce capable of driving digital transformation effectively.



According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Jason Liu, President of Huawei Learning and Certification Services, emphasized Huawei’s commitment to nurturing comprehensive talent that aligns with contemporary demands, thereby empowering both individuals and organizations to flourish in the AI era. Liu highlighted that learning capability equates to productivity, and with advanced knowledge management, learning platforms, and AI learning copilots, Huawei aims to cultivate teams that are continually learning and enhancing productivity.



Looking ahead to 2025, Huawei plans to roll out the ‘Industry Elites in the ICT Classroom Project’ for enterprise customers and the ‘Leading ICT Talent Cultivation Project’ for university students, focusing on empowering digital intelligence talent. The evolving landscape of AI technology is driving a shift from the traditional ‘T-shaped’ talent model to a more adaptable ‘p-shaped ladder’ talent model, prioritizing comprehensive expertise.



The forum also featured insights from Mr. Juanvi MartĀ­nez, Business Director of Mercer in Spain, who stressed the importance of empowering staff to rapidly acquire new skills in response to the shifting demands of the AI-driven workplace. He noted that generative AI is poised to revolutionize core job tasks, boost productivity, and necessitate the continuous upskilling and reskilling of the workforce. MartĀ­nez emphasized that sharing the ‘digital dividend’ with employees is crucial from an HR perspective.



Mr. Antonio de Luis Acevedo, Director of Spain’s FUNDAE, highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts in national ICT talent development. Since 2019, FUNDAE has partnered with Huawei, enabling over 200,000 practitioners to engage with Huawei’s courses. In 2024, FUNDAE further collaborated with Huawei in Spain Academy to enhance digital skills.



Madam Rumeysa Kaymakci, Director of Turkcell Academy, underscored that digital transformation extends beyond technology, emphasizing the critical role of talent. She introduced the ‘Technical Leadership Programme’ and ‘Digital Master Programme’ as key initiatives to accelerate the digital-intelligence transformation of talent.
