Hold on to your faith in good and bad times – Christians told

Accra,- The Reverend Fiifi Wilson Otabil, Senior Pastor, Ofankor Assembly of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has asked Christians to hold on to their faith in good and bad times.

“Let us remain faithful to our commitment to Christ to be His followers in good times and in bad times, in sickness and in health, the same way a man and a woman dedicated themselves to each other,” he said.

Rev Otabil said this in a sermon to climax a week-long annual conference dubbed: “Prophetic Mandate Conference ’21” in Accra Mangolane Bohye near New Ashongman.

The Conference, which is held annually on ICGC Seekers Temple’s calendar, was to give thanks to God and ‘realign destinies’ through worship, praises and the preaching of the Gospel of Christ.

Speaking on the theme: “Kingdom Manifestation,” Rev. Otabil said: “Do not be overcome by the evil that exists in the world, by the violence that you see around you.

“Let us remain faithful to the one who remained faithful to the Father and fulfilled His mission to the very end.”

He encouraged those who faltered in their faith to get back on track and follow Christ irrespective of their circumstances.

Rev Otabil said believers were never alone in their troubles, saying

“When you feel that life has become too much of a burden for you, when you feel that you have too many crosses to bear and you don’t have the strength anymore to continue on your way, you only need to remember your assurance in Christ’s manifestation.”

“We are never alone; He carries the cross with us,” he said, assuring that, “He will never let our burden become too heavy for us to carry. This is our hope, this is our strength, this is our faith because He is our God who is a victor over death.”
