GNFS Secures Victory in 2025 NCCE Constitution Quiz for Security Agencies

Ada: The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has emerged as the winner of the 2025 Constitution Quiz Competition for security agencies organised by the Ada East District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).

According to Ghana News Agency, the contest took place at the Ada East District Assembly Hall and featured personnel from the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, and the National Ambulance Service. Addressing participants before the competition commenced, Mr. Kenneth Kabu Kofi Kanor, the District Chief Executive for Ada-East, commended the security services for their discipline and dedication to maintaining peace and order in the district. In a light-hearted remark, he suggested that the Assembly should join the competition in subsequent editions.

Participants were tested on the 1992 Constitution, relevant Legislative Instruments (L.I.s) governing their institutions, and general civic knowledge. At the end of the contest, the GNFS secured 55 points to place first, followed closely by the Immigration Service with 50 points. The National Ambulance Service secured third place with 45 points after a tie-breaker round with the Police Service, which ended with the Police scoring 41 points.

Ms. Faustina Blewusi, publicly known as Mama Megbenya II, the Ada East District Director of the NCCE, stated that the competition aimed at deepening constitutional awareness among security agencies, strengthening patriotism, and promoting democratic values. She noted that the true victory lies not only in answering questions correctly but in the commitment to understanding and upholding the ideals of the Constitution. She expressed gratitude to the District Chief Executive and security agency heads for their support and cooperation.

The competition was fully sponsored by the Ada East District Assembly as part of its efforts to promote civic education, peace, and good governance in the district.
