GIJ Council asks Dr Dzisah to take his annual leave
Accra The Governing Council of the Ghana Institute of Journalism has asked Dr Wilberforce Sefakor Dzisah, the Rector of the Institute, to take his annual leave for 2018.
Two other persons; Dr Ebo Afful, the Acting Vice-Rector has been relieved of his responsibilities and urged to revert to teaching full-time while Mr Perry P.K. Ofosu, the Registrar, also asked to take his annual leave for 2018.
This was announced in a statement signed by Professor Kwasi Ansu-Kyeremeh, the Chairman of the Council, and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Friday.
It said the Council took the decision at an emergency meeting held on Wednesday, January 31, to enable investigations to continue into the operations of the Institute.
The statement said in the interim, the following persons have been asked to act in the following positions and they are Dr Modestus Fosu, Acting Rector; Dr Collins Adu-Bempah Brobbey, Acting Deputy Rector and Mrs Patience Sowah, Acting Registrar.
All the changes take immediate effect, it said.
